NewFest is one of the most important LGBTQ+ film festivals in the country, a space where queer stories are centered, celebrated, held with genuine love and critical attention. That mission is deeply aligned with Aubin's own commitment to queer voices and LGBTQ+ justice.

Ellery's work as the Co-Chair of the board, building and sustaining that space creates the community context in which films like ours can find the audiences they are meant for, those they need. Exhibition and distribution are where the conversations begin, where films either live or die, and he helps films live.
