Monday, November 2nd | 7PM | Performance Space New York

Dress to party inspired by 1996!

Join us to commemorate Aubin turning 30!

We started three decades ago with a short activist video response to early manifestations of the extreme policies we’re seeing today. We called the piece When Democracy Works. Our values and mission are even more important now.

The celebration will bring us all together, artists and activists, collaborators and champions, to mark this anniversary as more than a retrospective, more like a rededication. Aubin is not merely nostalgic. We are fueled. The films we finished most recently, The Return, And Again I Dream, Paint Me a Road Out of Here, and Meanwhile, are as urgent as When Democracy Works. Our kids, our hearts, our desire to live another day and get another chance to know and feel and listen and learn, all that keeps giving us reasons to keep going, so we do.

We keep going.

Come celebrate the last 30 years and all of the years to come!

Aubin Luminaries

Aubin Luminaries: 30+ for 30 Years!

For our anniversary, we are celebrating over 30 extraordinary human beings who each embody something essential about Aubin’s purpose, mission, process, and stubborn reason for persisting. Filmmakers who pointed their camera at truth. Activists who brought people to a screening and turned that gathering into a movement. Curators who said yes when others said wait. Funders whose beliefs helped make an idea a reality. Journalists who told our story to the world. Participant collaborators who trusted us with their vulnerability, their power, their quiet knowing. And Interns who became colleagues who became family.

With around one person for each year, these people's presence in our story is foundational. They are the soil, the air, the water, and the fire.

Join us in celebrating each one.
